“Come on Ted!” yelled Daniel,who was waiting outside the man’s hotel room with their small group of friends, waiting for the southern boy to appear.
“He is worse than a women sometimes.” Mike said, crossing his arms over his chest as Maryse leaned against his shoulder.
“Hey!” She said, smirking as she swatted at his arm.
“Not you, babe.” Mike said, turning toward her and grabbing her waist. “I mean ugly women.” He placed a quick kiss on her lips, earning a chuckle from Evan, who was pointing to his lips. “What?”
“Seem’s Cleopatra left her mark on Caesar after all.” Evan chuckled. Mike wiped his lips, hopefully getting rid of whatever part of Maryse’s Cleopatra make-up he had acquired.
He glared down at Evan, who looked like a child who had unfortunately been in a motor vehicle accident...and then became a zombie. That wasn’t his costume, his costume was just a regular zombie, but on Evan, everything seemed child sized.
“Cut it out you guys,” Daniel said, the fake missing teeth of his hockey costume, along with the make-up ‘shiner’ somehow making him look more intimidating. “Ted!”
“I’m comin’!” Ted yelled form the other side of the door.
When it finally opened, Mike and Maryse were the first to laugh. The southern man was dressed, head to toe in a skimpy cop uniform, the shorts leaving nothing o the imagination as they barely covered half his thighs. His only weapon was a knight stick and the shirt was obscenely tight, his sleeves barely containing his muscles.
“You know, you can buy adult costumes right?” Mike said through a chuckle.
“This is an adult costume.” Ted said, looking down at himself.
“Get your money back.” Maryse said, her accent making it hard to understand her.
“Do not tell me you have gla-” Before Daniel can get his sentence out, Ted pulled aviator glasses out from the front pocket of his shirt, placing them over his eyes. “ ‘Sex-Police’. Seriously?” Daniel read the small white print on the upper part of each lens.
“What, it’s not like there are going to be children there.” Ted said, shrugging.
“Did you shave your legs?” Evan said, glancing down at Ted’s exposed calves.
“Yea.”
“They look nice. “ Evan said, smiling, “Now lets get going!” Evan nearly skipped down the hall, earning a wide-eyed glance form both Maryse and Mike, who shook their heads as Daniel followed behind the small brunette.
“I worry about that kid sometimes.” Ted said, smirking as he closed the hotel room door behind him.
“I’m worried about you!” mike said, gesturing to Ted’s costume. “And you wonder why people think you’re a closet case.”
“Shut up.” Ted smirked, “This is for chicks man. They dig this sexy shit.”
“Oh no,” maryse said as they strolled own the hall, “We do not.” The couple walked, arm in arm as hey pressed the down button on the elevator, holding it open for Ted, who was busy fumbling with a piece of paper.
“I’ll be down in a second, go on.”
“Oh no!” Mike said, his hand holding open the sliding doors, “I am afraid you’ll be raped on the way down if you go alone. Get in here!” Ted sighed as he followed orders, shoving the note back in his front pocket.

Dear Ted,
Tonight we celebrate Halloween
A spooky holiday
But even after all this time
You still take my breath away

Please wear this tonight
My costume will look a match
And I hope whatever we had
We can patch

~Your secret admirer.

Ted stared down at the note as the obnoxious beat of rave music played in his ears. They had only stepped through the door when the gaggle of people who had already arrived bombarded them with buzzed hello’s and costume comments.
No one really commented on Ted, other than the few rookie diva’s who said it made him look sexy, and the one office worker who tried to grope his ass.
Mike and Maryse had hung out with their own small group, while Evan ran right over to Jack, talking about mundane things and laughing anytime Jack made the slightest joke. Stay true to form, Jack was dressed as Uncle Sam, a creepy, half dead Uncle Sam.
He couldn’t help but laugh at how his and Evan’s costumes both had a zombie theme, aware that Evan probably did this on purpose so that they would have something to keep the conversation going. He then glanced over to the other superstars, his eyes first landing on Phil and Beth, their arms around one another as they talked to some anonymous background worker Ted couldn’t remember the name of. Their costumes weren’t matching like Maryse and Mikes. Beth was dressed as the bride of Frankenstein, with Phil dressed a what looked like Dracula. They seemed happy, neither one drinking anything. Ted smiled softly at the caring way Beth fell into Phil’s straight edge life style.
Sighing, Ted strolled into the kitchen, seeing the door open and, though he never really thought about, a very recognizable ass protruding out form a bent over figure.
“I take you are the angel of alcohol tonight?” Ted said, finding it hard to really sit down in one of the chairs so he settled for the counter top.
John stood, turning back to Ted, his angel costume returning to its normal pattern, half covering his legs as he twisted of a beer top.
“You bet Teddy.” John said, handing the younger superstar one of the other beers he was holding, leaving him with two.
“Getting started early I see.” Ted said, twisting off his own top.
John glanced down at the bottles, “Naw, one of these is for Satan over there.” John gestured back to the living room wear Randy was standing, his tail hanging limply at his side as he spoke to what looked like Kaitlyn, her face covered by a superhero mask.
Ted glanced form John to Randy and back, taking a swig of his beer and ignoring how the small blue shorts were digging into his thighs. “I get it. Opposites. Wait, isn’t that the same costume you wore last year?”
“Yep.” John said, leaning against the counter as he took a swig from his own beer. “Got me laid last year,” John whispered, turning to glance at Randy, “I’m hoping it has the same effect this year.”
“Too much information.” Ted said, taking another swing of his beer.
“You look like you’re trying to get some action tonight too.” John said, looking at Ted from head to toe.
The southern superstar hopped off the counter, hoping the tight fabric wouldn’t rip anywhere as he sighed. “Kinda i guess.”
“Kinda?” John asked with a smirk.
“I got this last night after the show.” Ted pulled out the note, handing it over the John who read if with intense interest.
“Ooo.” John smiled, “Someone definitely wants you back. So who do you think it is?”
“I don’t know.”
“Come on! You have to have idea’s! What about Kristen?”
“No way. She divorced my heathen as the minute she learned that I used to play for the other team.”
John’s yes widened, “What about one of the guys?”
“It’ not one of the guys,” Ted drawled.
“What if it’s Cody?” The whole room seemed to fall silent as Ted glanced down at the note John had handed back to him.
It couldn’t be Cody. Cody hated him. Well, hated him now because of the whole ‘your dad is a bigoted homophobe and this is going no where, plus you’re married!’ debacle. They had had few flings here and there since then, usually ending in arguments and cursing about being used and being a whore and whatnot.
So chances were that Cody didn’t write the note.
But...then again, Ted was single now, a divorcee who went both ways when the timing was right and who still sort of pined for the younger man.
“Earth to Ted!” John said, waving a hand in front of Ted’s face. “You think it’s Cody?”
“No...no...” Ted said, glancing down at the note agin. Damn t for being typed! Ted could have recognized the handwriting. “I mean...he hates me.”
John laughed heartily, “Yea, ok.” John took a swig of beer as Randy entered the kitchen.
“What’s so damn funny?” He asks.
“Ted here thinks Cody hates him.” When the Viper erupted it to hysterics, Ted’s face turned red. The taller tanned man reached across the counter, his bare chest covering the granite tops as he reached for his beer.
“You are joking right?” Randy chuckled.
“I haven’t seen or heard from him since the whole ‘together agin-feud’ Vince sighed us up for.” Ted shrugged.
“Here, read this.” John said, pulling the paper out of Ted’s hands before the blonde had a chance to shove it back in his shirt pocket. Randy took another swig before his eyes traced over the words, his smirk growing.
“Yep, thats Codes. He was always into this kinky shit.”
Ted nearly cringed at the small thought that Randy had once been with the blue eyed superstar.
“You really think so?” Ted said, somewhat hopefully, somewhat full of dread.
“Just see when he gets here.” randy took another swig.
“He isn’t here yet?”
“Nope, said he had to pick up something.” Randy said, taking out his cell phone and showing Ted the text message. “He’ll be here in a few minutes.”
Ted took a deep breath before couching it out, John’s giant and patting him on the back, “Good luck there ‘Sex Police’.” John chuckled, walking over to Randy as the ‘devil’ slither and arm around the ‘angel’s waist as they sauntered back into the party.
He looked down to his beer, glaring at it before returning his eyes to the note, taking a long swig as he read it over and over again, Cody’s voice in his head.

Slowly, and after grabbing another beer, he walked out of the kitchen, seeing the other superstars already preceding in drunken beer chugs and uncoordinated games of apple bobbling.
John and Randy looked fairly sober, but then again as long as he had known them both, they had had a high tolerance of alcohol. He leaned against the door frame, ignoring how the cop outfit was clinging to him.
‘He was always into this kinky shit.’ Kept repeating in his head as he wiped the back of his hand against his mouth. He really did miss Cody, not even in the biblical sense. He just missed the lisping ravenette as a friend. After things had gone sour, they had really lost communication until Vince stuck them in another ‘dynamic duo’ because, as he put it, ‘it was what the fan’s wanted’. He would never openly admit it, but he wanted it too.
The sound of claps and drunken hello’s brought Ted’s eyes to the door.
There were two people dressed in bright orange standing in the doorway, both smiling at their drunken co-workers. Layla’s prison outfit was obviously made to be sexy, the bright orange shorts matching the tightness of Ted’s as her shirt knotted in the front, holding in a white tube top that exposed her stomach.
Ted, though, wasn’t focused on her, he was focused on the hand lingering on her shoulder. He would know it anywhere, and, no matter how stalkerish it seemed, he knew what that hand was capable of if cared for. His green eyes barely met blue ones as Cody turned to smile at AJ, who had come dressed as a piece of candy, and was nearly stumbling when she walked. Watching her drink was like watching Evan drink, you know deep down they are old enough to drink, but something inside you says, ‘Look at them! They are obviously children!’
He ignored the calling to run over and knock the spiked punch out of AJ’s hand as his eyes roamed over Cody’s body. His prisoner outfit was tight in all the right places, and matched Layla’s close enough that Ted would have thoguht Cody purposefully bought a women's size.
The only exception was that Cody had on a white tank top under his knotted orange shirt, which depressed Ted a bit, seeing as the man’s perfect body was covered.
He shook his head quick, shoving the thoughts down as he remembered what the note said.
‘Please wear this tonight
My costume will look a match...’

He sighed, taking a drink of beer as he looked back over to Cody and Layla. They matched. Cody was not dressed as a officer of the ‘Sex Police’, and, therefore, couldn’t have written the note.
Sighing again, Ted scanned the room for anyone dressed even remotely as a cop. The only other one was Gail, but if her and Daniel making out on a nearby couch was any suggestion, Gail hadn’t written the note either.
Staring into his beer bottle, Ted barely noticed the bright orange shorts heading his way.
“Well, don’t you look professional.” Cody smirked, his hand on his hip as he looked Ted over from head to toe.
The blondes pale eyes slowly took in Cody’s form up close, his orange short contrasting against the bottom of his white wife-beater, the orange button down open and tied as if Cody belonged in the female prison. Up close, Cody looked perfect. But then again, Cody always looked perfect.
It was as if he just woke up tanned and in shape. His eyes were the kicker though, bright blue against his dark hair which made it impossible for most people, Ted included, to look away.
Ted all of a sudden felt over exposed in his costume, absently tugging at his shorts. He could feel his face growing red as Cody smirked.
“At least I don’t look like a walking cliche.” Ted said, trying to chuckle.
“Yea, yea,” Cody rolled his eyes, “But you see, thats the beauty of it. Just when everyone thinks I’m some gay prison mate, I tell them I go both ways.” Cody winked, “They never see it coming.”
“Well aren’t you a flamboyant Houdini,” Ted smirked. He missed this.. He missed the little friendship they had, arguing over stupid shit. “Where have you been man?”
“Me?” Ted chuckled, “You’re the one who hadn’t returned my calls.”
“That’s because you were mumbling drunk half the time and I could understand what the hell you were saying.” Ted missed that damn laugh. “I...uh...I heard about the divorce, though...”
And it was as simple as that. Cody transformed from this confident metro sexual to a shy child. All it took was a simple connection, one single strand that brought together ‘you haven’t spoken sober to me for weeks’ and ‘I her you’re bitch of a wife left you’.
“Yea..but...it wasn’t that big...a deal.” Bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit was spewing out of his mouth and he couldn’t stop it. It was a huge deal, his marriage was one of the reasons he and Cody never became...He and Cody.
“Oh..well..I’m glad you’re over it buddy.” Cody sighed, patting Ted on the shoulder.
Man, he missed that touch. Those soft fingers against skin. He was so lost in his memories, he didn’t see Cody’s eyes glance down tot he piece of paper sticking out of his shirt pocket.
“What’s this?” Ted nearly choked on his beer, reaching for the note as Cody began to open it. His hand rested o Cody’s, his fingers gripping the younger man’s knuckles.
Ted was like a fish out of water, gasping a bit loudly as, he suspected, Cody did the same, the other man rushing it off with a smirk. He slowly ripped his hand from Ted’s and opened the note.
Ted’s face was on fire as the blue eyes he adored ran over each word, widening when he reached the end, a small smirk tainting the corners of his lips.
“So...” Cody said in a bit of a sing song voice, folding the note as he hit Ted on the back, “Not even a month of freedom and you already have someon on your tail.” Wen the younger man pulled him into a half hug, Ted was a mixture of confused and disappointed.
“Uh...thanks?” Ted said as Cody pulled away.
“No problem, stud.” Cody said, smiling. “Oh! Who do you think it is?”
“I...I don’t know.” Ted asked with confusion, “I-”
“I’ll help you figure it out, can’t be too hard.” Cody threw his arm around Ted’s shoulder, pulling him closer as they glanced around the room. Ted was tryignt o sort out exactly what was going on when Cody leaned in closer to him, their cheeks nearly pressing together as Cody pointed to the crowd.
“It can’t be Wade or Justin or Jack.” Cody chuckled, “Evan would kick your ass if it was Jack.”
“That’s true.” Ted said, standing straight as his body became comfortable wit the electric sensation running through his body at the younger mans touch.
“Ok, so it’s not Natalya.” Cody cringed.
“Yea, don’t even go there.” Ted mumbled, smirking. Cody’s smile was even brighter when you were a few inches from it.
“So not Aj, not Gail....ew,” Cody turned toward the couch, “obviously not Gail.” Cod pouted, his hand on his hip, “I don;t know who it could be.”
“Here.” Ted said, taking the note, “It says the costumes will ‘be a match’, but the only cop is Gail.”
“What if its an opposite match?”
“What the hell does that mean?” Ted laughed, glancing at Cody as he did the same.
“You know, like Mike and Maryse. They go together but that aren’t an exact match. Or, there!” Cody pointed to John and Randy, who were obviously drunk enough to ‘snuggle’ against the wall. “The aren’t matching...exactly.”
Ted shrugged, “Okay, so who is it then?”
“Vampires don’t go with Cops.” Cody said, glancing around the room, “Zombies definitely don’t go with Cops.”
“What about a Walking Dead kind of thing, that has Cops and Zombies.” Ted smirked, seeing Cody’s pout return.
“Smartass.” Cody laughed.
“Seriously Cody,” Ted said, “there is nothing here that goes with a cop.”
“What about convicts, they go with cops,” Cody gestured to Layla, which made Ted confused.
“But Layla’s with yo-” Ted was cut off by Cody’s lips against his, an arm still wrapped behind his head as the ravenette kept to the side of him, his blue eyes watching Ted’s face.
“I’m glad you got the costume.” Cody smiled softly, whispering, “You look great.”
Ted didn’t answer as he pulled Cody’s lips back onto his, his heart jumping in his chest at the prospect of a second chance.

John took a deep breath as he stared at his reflection in the locker room mirror, the ‘Rise Above Hate’ staring back at him as he ran a hand through his buzzed hair.

If there was anytime to do this, it was now. WWE had just signed on to the ‘B.A. star’ campaign, he had nearly all, if not most, of the WWE universe on his side, and, frankly, he was a bit fed up with not only the ‘new general manager’, but his whole persona in general.

True, he had improvised most of the homophobic lines both he and his opponents said in the ring, but that was the whole ‘denial’ and ‘cover-up’ stage of his ‘big gay freak out’. And he couldn’t even call it a surprise, he knew something was different from the day he hit high-school, but he thought with Liz, things would just feel normal. It didn’t happen the first three times he had asked her to marry him, which she rejected, and it didn’t change anything when she finally said yes.

He couldn’t help but think his father knew something was off hand when he first brought Liz home, hell, they had had a full on brawl over the women. And now..now he knows he should have just listened.

He still hadn't told her. Things weren’t exactly the best for them right now, all the separation, as well as obvious inner issues eating at them. They hadn’t had a long conversation, more than 5 or 10 minutes, in a few months, even when he was back home.

It would be over soon, most likely after tonight's episode of RAW.

“Hey man, I got your shirt!” John turned to the locker room doorway at the sound of the Viper’s familiar voice. “Here man.” Randy sighed as he handed the black wad of cloth over to John.

“Thank.” John said, opening the shirt o reveal one similar to his, the ‘HATE’ now symbolized by a ‘H8’. The colors were also off, ‘RISE ABOVE’ in white while ’H8’ attacked the senses in bright red. Sighing as he flipped it over, he saw that the ‘Some wrestlers like guy’s, get over it’ was also in obnoxious bright red. He leaned againd the linoleum, laying the shirt on the counter near the sink and string down at the letters.

Randy didn’t say anything as he glanced from John to the shirt and back agin. He stepped a bit closer, placing a hand on John’s back as he tried to smile. “You know,” Randy said, “That face isn’t really attractive on you.” Randy chuckled a she felt John do the smallest bit of the same, “Now take a deep breath, and get out there.”

John looked up to Randy, meeting the Viper’s gaze, “Why the hell can’t you let me be a little mopey for a while?” John said, straightening his back as he Smirked.

Randy shrugged, “You know I ask myself that same question everyday?” Randy patted John on the back, turning to the mirror. “It couldn’t be your eyes, I mean, they’re defiantly too blue.” Randy said, squinting at John’s reflection as the shorter man smirked. “And it’s not your body,” Randy said, gripping John’s biceps, “Or,” Randy said, lower his head so his chin nested in the crook of John’s neck, “Those stupid dimples when you smile.” He placed a chaste kiss on John’s cheek before letting go and leaning his back against the linoleum, crossing his arms over his chest. “So I have no idea why I try and cheer up your sorry ass.”

“ Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back, ‘old Randy’.” John says, giving a fake clap as Randy smirks. John returns the smile as he begins to take off his shirt.

“You knew I didn’t get to see the whole edited DVD at the end.” Randy said, turning back to the mirror, “I would have caught that and deleted it. In fact, I would have deleted you from the dvd entirely.”

“But then Vince would be stuck with thousands upon thousands of cover-art with your ugly mug on them.” John chuckled.

“Just give me the damn shirt.” Randy said, ripping the recently discarded shirt from John’s hand, unzipping his hoodie to reveal a bare chest.

“Scandalous.”

“Shut it.” Randy smirked, placing the hoodie on the counter as he threw the shirt over his head, “My god, what did you do to this thing?”

“What are you talking about?”

“This thing wreaks of you.” Randy said, his head popping out of the shirt.

“Marking my territory.” John smirked as he adjusted his own shirt, taking another deep breath as he glanced from himself to Randy.

“Just promise me you won’t do anything weird when we go out there.”

“Hey, I'm coming out alone, i can do anything I want.” John smiled as Randy sighed.

“You know I can’t say anything, not now at least.” It as true, and John knew it. John was only married, some nasty divorce papers and a few lost dollars were nothing compared to what Randy would have to go through. He had a kid, a kid who needed a father and, if he and Sam did split, there’d be child support and visiting days and meetings at the same abandoned parking lot. John knew better than anyone that separations between parents took a heavier toll on the kid than either of the adults.

Plus, Randy sparsely saw his kid as it was, and Sam could take full custody if they split, which would break Randy’s heart. The Viper really adored the kid, and John wasn't about to come between something that made Randy happy.

But that didn’t mean he couldn’t mess with him.

“Well, who decided to think with their dick and complicate things.” John smirked, somewhat joking.

“I cannot help it if my dick find everyone beautiful.” Randy smirked, brushing off the shirt. “We gonna do this or what?”

“Give me a minute.” John said, his smile gone as he looked again at his reflection, finally happy with what he saw. Randy came up behind him, placing his arms around John’s waist as he leaned near the mans ear.

“You have nothing to worry about.” Randy whispered, “Fuck’em if they say something, especially back here, I’ll rip them a new one.”

“Oh you’re such a romantic.” John rolled his eyes, turning toward Randy, placing a quick kiss on his lips as he felt the Vipers hand rest on his cheek.

“Plus, you’ll always have me.” Randy said, pressing their foreheads together as they broke the kiss.

“Guess that’s better than nothing.” John smirked, shrugging his shoulders, “Not exactly first place, but-”

“Asshole.”

“Please Randy, not now. The show starts in three minutes.”

“Oh I’ll give you a show.”

“Cool your jets,” John smirked, brushing past Randy as he walked toward the arena entrance. “They’ll be plenty of ‘celebration’ afterwards.” John winked.

Randy quickly followed behind, catching up to John and gripping his waist from behind as he placed another kiss to the side of his head.

“Hey..” John laughed, pulling away from the touch, “Man, you really can’t wa-”

He was cut off by Randy’s lips against his, quick and passionate against his, the shorter man's eyes widening. “What was that for?”

“For good luck.” Randy said smiling as John leaned in for another kiss, “And..because I’m really horny.”

“Seriously?” John said in a somewhat high pitched voice before turning toward the entrance. “Man, way to ruin a moment.” John smirked.

His smile only widened as he walk out of the entrance way, taking one last look at Randy, who was returning the sentiment as his music began to play, the announcer yelling his name to the crowd, signaling for him to appear.

Awkward couldn’t even begin to describe how he was feeling, slowly nudging hi s way over to Randy and...her. Not Alanna, no, her he loved and other than the little kids-say-the-dardest-thing mishap, (Naked-Baby wasn't exactly that easy to explain), he was certain that she kind of saw him as a second father.
It was Sam he couldn’t stand. they had had problems in the past, especially in the beginning of her and Randy’s relationship, and it almost cost him Randy’s friendship, but they had worked through it and were ‘fine’, or she like to say they were. If the seating at the Hall of Fame ceremony was anything, it showed how insecure she still was, not that John could blame her.
Randy was definitely a guys guy, devoted but still fun to hang out with. Pus, he was hotter than the sun itself, at least in John and every other sane persons eyes.
And thats why he cautioned near the tanned man when ever she was around, not to mention the camera’s for his upcoming DVD. He and Randy had been fuck buddies for a long time, but just like the giant girl every use to call him, John fell a bit harder for the younger man, inching toward love until she found some boxers in Randy’s him suit case that didn’t exactly fit him the right way, which raised her suspicion's again, keeping her watchful eyes on Randy whenever she could.
The whole ‘sitting between them’ at the Hall of Fame ceremony nearly set John off, if Randy hadn’t promised to repay him afterwards. What pissed John off the most was that Randy acted as if everything was alright, as if his marriage wasn’t constantly on the brink of destruction and his hidden affair was becoming less and less obvious.
“I made you a plate,” John said, picking up the craft foods he had grabbed from the small buffet, smiling when Alanna noticed him, “Hell, I even got you a soda.”
“Hey, don’t even act-” Randy’s eyes met John’s, the tanned man, again, acting as if everything was absolutely fine, “She’s been looking for you all morning.”
“All day.” Sam says at the same time, her smile faltering for a minute as she looked in John;s direction, as if to tell the older man that she was always watching him.
“We walked by the truck with you, with your likeness on it and, ‘John Cena’, “ Randy was smiling, but look more uncomfortable than anything. but, like he always did, John played along, laughing with caution as Randy turned to Alanna.
“If you had it here, she’d probably be wearing your hat.” Sam said, plastering a smile on her face as she glance dat John, who knew she was putting on a slight act for the camera.
“Oh, well, I’ll get her a hat.” John said, watching Sam inch closer t both Randy and Alanna, “I know people that know me.” John watched Randy’s eyes light up at the sight of his daughter, John’s heart sinking as he realized that that little girl was his world, and, unfortunately, that world belong to Sam. “Enjoy...enjoy all this.” John said, motioning toward the camera’s as the coupe left with Alanna, the older man sitting down as he watched Randy go.
When the tanned man looked over his shoulder, a soft smile coming to his face, John couldn’t help but smile back. Maybe things would change soon, and John could finally have the family he always wanted, with the man he had always loved.

Randy could feel his entire body tremble as he tried to calm his breathing. The small home seemed to glare at him from beneath the snow, a small ray of sunshine creating what looked like a silver rim around the corners of the roof. He gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles matching the semi-new fallen snow, a bit dirty from the tire tracks already plowed into the driveway.
Taking another deep breath, feeling as if he were going to faint from the massive amounts of oxygen he had stored inside his lungs ever since he had landed in the state,Randy closed his eyes.
Even if John had ran out on him that night, the one Randy wanted to forget with all his might, he still got calls from the doctors the pregnant man went to see, slowly remembering he had put his cell-number under the ‘call incase of emergency’ list incase he was working and John was alone in the hotel room.
The last call he had gotten was from a Dr. Jones in Massachusetts, telling Randy that John was moving along a bit faster than expected, and that they have decided, after watching the baby on ultrasound, to have John stay at the hospital until the baby is ready to be born. Of course, Randy had thousands of questions, but he had dwindled it down to what hospital and what room number. He also had informed the secretary for the doctor not to alert John of his plan, making up some fool excuse that he was going to be surprising him.
Which, all in all wasn’t exactly a lie. He was going right for the hospital and John didn’t know he was even in Massachusetts, which would be a surprise to the older man. It just wasn’t clear if John would even want him in the room. Or back in his life.
They hadn’t completely broken up, which would have ripped Randy to shreds, if the fact that they hadn’t spoken since that night didn’t fill him with enough dread.
He decided that, if john wouldn’t listen to him via phone, or tell him where he had run off to, Randy would have to track him. Thankfully, the doctors call hadn’t come but a few days after John had, evidently, jumped a plane and headed home to Massachusetts.
Thats why Randy was here, parked outside John Cena Sr.’s house, waiting patiently for his legs to follow through with the plan and gain enough courage to walk to the mans door.
It didn’t take an imbecile to know that there was no way John could drive himself anywhere, and the thought of his boyfriend so uncomfortable on the plane, without anyone there for him to rest his head, or hell, his entire body on, made Randy feel like even more of an asshole.
If that were even possible. To say he was royally fucked, was the biggest understatement of the year.
But before he burst into another, ‘I hate myself for pushing away the only good thing thats happened to me because I couldn’t push a prick off my mouth quick enough’ crying fit, he stepped out of the car. Slowly closing the driver-side door as he glared at the semi-snow covered porch, acting as if it were mocking him and daring him to actually come to the front door.
Randy swallowed hard, pacing himself toward the door as he ran over the speech in his mind.
‘Hey Mr.Cena, my name’s Randy and I’m the one who knocked up your son and then left him to fend for himself.’ Randy shook his head as he tried again, the same creeping phrase lingering in his mind. It was almost shouting at him when his shaky hand finally reached for the doorbell.
He slowly pressed the button, barely hearing the ring as the door opened in front of him, the face on the other side of the screen greeting him with a small smile and a look of...disappointment was the only thing Randy could detect.
“I was wondering when how long you were gonna sit in that car.” John Sr. said as Randy shoved his hands in his pockets. “Thought you might freeze, seeing as you been sitting with the engine off for half an hour.”
Randy glanced back to the car, he hadn’t really noticed the frigid air until John Sr. had said something. Randy turned back to the older man, opening his mouth to say something before John S.r. continued.
“John told me close to everything. About you and the baby.” Randy glanced down as the older man crossed his arms over his chest. Randy could feel his heart sink as he closed his eyes, the shaking returning, his heart nearly breaking when the older man said, “You really shouldn’t be here.”
Randy felt as if his whole world had shattered. Even though John S.r hadn’t known about their relationship, he still knew who Randy was and, as far as he could tell, he and the man got long pretty well. Randy saw him as a last resort, the one thing that could mend he and John once he knew the truth. But apparently, even he could help them now.
Randy looked up, taking a deep breath of the clod air, filling his lungs with sadness as he spoke.
“I....I know...but I thought....I thought I could....” Randy sighed, “I thought I could explain myself.....I thought...maybe....I don’t know-”
“You should let me finish, boy.” Randy looked to the old man with some form of confusion. “You shouldn’t be here. You should be with my son, in the hospital, explaining this to him.” Randy still held his look of confusion as John S.r. continued, stepping out side. “You and my son...you guys need each other. Even when I thought you were just friends I knew that!” He gave a sort of uneasy chuckle, “And even if I didn’t find out on the best of terms....I’m...glad you two are together...” He placed a hand on Randy’s shoulder as the tanned man turned t him with a small look of relief and sadness. “Listen, get in my truck, I’ll take you tot the hospital.” The older man gestured Randy toward the garage as he went back inside, lacing the younger man speechless, standing in front of the closed garage door.
His mind was racing, almost matching his heartbeat as reality hit him. John S.r. wasn’t pissed at him. He didn’t want to kill him or hang him or anything, he actually wanted to help. Not that Randy had little confidence in the man, thats why he had come here first, but to actually hear him say that he was glad...made a shiver go up Randy’s spine. Maybe there was some it of hope left. Maybe he and John could go through this together, like they had planned. Maybe...
Before Randy could get his hopes up to high, the door opened as the sound of a rust engine alerted his ears and body to move out of the path of the truck, now backing out of the garage.
“You getting in?” John S.r. called from the rolled down window of the drivers seat. As if realizing he could actually move his legs, Randy rushed over to the passenger side, quickly sliding in as he tried to catch his breath, the truck pulling out of the drive as fast s possible. They sat in silence as it pulled onto the road, Randy glaring at his feet as another worry clouded his brain.
What the hell was he going to say to John.

John laid in the small hospital bed, absently pressing buttons on his t.v. remote before finally shutting the thing off, sighing as he closed his eyes. He hated being stuck in hospitals. It always smelled weird, the food was horrid, and the place was never really quiet always a heart monitor beeping in the background, or the occasional creepy moan from an older patient who hadn’t quiet fallen asleep.
John mostly hated hospitals because they reminded him that he was out of work. Anytime he had been in a hospital was because of an injury on the job,with this time as an exception. This time he was in here as a precaution.
He had been feeling a bit weird as of late, well, a bit weirder than being a pregnant man already was, so he decided, mostly because of his dad, that he had to go to the hospital. It wasn't an emergency, just some discomfort and stomach pain. Next thing he knew, he was changing into a hospital gown and being shoved in an uncomfortable bed.
The fact that he had more wires and lights on and around him than a Christmas tree really didn’t help his sleep either. But he could blame all his problems on the hospital, after all, one of the nurses was more or less going to hold his hand as he wen t under, seeing as... he who shall not be name, probably wouldn‘t show.
Even the thought of his former lover mad John tear up a bit. He knew he had been acting strange when they walked the various arena’s, shoving him into awkward spaces and corners anytime that flashy, over-rated, two-bit wrestling hack Rhodes walked by. He should have seen it coming, years of television and neighborhood stories should have clued him in.
Men usually left their wife's when the got pregnant, realizing that they would have to have more responsibility and the fact that their spouses may not be ‘the same’ after the baby, so why should a gay relationship with a pregnant spouse be any different?
John had put on weight, a bit more than he expected, and he wouldn’t deny it, but he was pregnant for god’s sake! What was he supposed to do? Kill the baby because he wanted to keep his figure? Besides, the cravings alone would have drove him crazy, but at least those had dwindled down, probably because the baby was almost due.
That was another thing that kept John up at night, how the hell was this thing going to get out of him? It wasn’t as if he was built for this kinda thing, and the way the doctor had said ‘c-section’ made John feel even more uneasy. Nothing like this had ever happened, at leas not in Massachusetts, and being a guinea pig for some male-pregnancy experiment was not exactly a nice thought for John.
It would suck even more because Ra-
John stopped himself. He didn’t want to say or think about his former lover anymore than he had to. Randy had basically cheated on him and that hurt John worse than any pregnancy pain he could think of.
He felt his tears rising to his eyes, gripping at freedom from his closeted emotions, when he heard the familiar sound of the elevator ding from several rooms down the hall.
Visiting hours hadn’t even started for anyone who wasn’t immediate family and John was certain that there weren’t very many people on this floor, seeing as it was the pregnancy ward and most wives or girlfriends were with their spouses already.
Hearing the foot steps draw closer, John opened on eye to see if they would walk by his room, his only form of entertainment, other than the lousy t.v. stations, was trying ti guess which room the future fathers were headed to.
“He’s right up here.” John, upon hearing the familiar sound of his fathers voice, turned toward the open door, the footsteps getting louder as they approached his room. He could tell by the sound that their were at least two people, making him wonder who his father had brought along this early in the morning.
his heart flipped as soon as Randy stepped in the doorway, looking to John with the slightest hint of sadness and regret. John’s eyes went wide before the tears finally began to escape, making a small trail down his face before he glared at the older man. He quickly shut his eyes and turned away from the tanned man in doorway.
“John...” Randy said cautiously as he walked toward the bed. “Johnny.....”
“Don’t you dare call me that.” John said in a frightful monotone.
“Please, just listen...” Randy said, reaching out to touch the top of John’s hand, lying beside him on the sheets.
“No you listen!” Randy stepped back from the bed as John turned back toward him, his eyes shining with tears as he glared. “I get it Randy. I changed and you couldn't handle it! You left me for a newer, younger, fit model and I hope you’re damn happy with him cause you’re stuck with the little home wrecker! And once a whore, always a whore.” John turned away again. It was easy to see that he was holding back tears as his shoulders seemed to tense.
Randy could feel his own tears swelling in his eyes, but he held them back, remembering the basic outline of the speech he had tried to create in the truck.
“John...I..I fucked up, but it’s not what you think...I just-”
“You just what Randy? Got lost in the moment and forgot to lock the god damn door?” John said, snapping his head back to face Randy with an evil glare.
“I didn’t...I would never cheat on you John...Not now, not ever. And that whole thing with Cody...was..something that I didn’t expect, or want to happen. He jumped me...he shoved me in the room and-”
“Definitely didn’t look like you were in there against your will.” John mumbled, turning away again.
“I was, John. And when he...kissed..me... I was pushing him off of me when you came through the door...I didn’t- I don’t want Cody at all. All I want is you...and our baby. That’s all I’ve wanted from the beginning. I..realize now that, what I said when we first found out. I...I was scared. I’m scared now, because you still think you have to go through this whole thing on you own. You don’t...I’m here...I’ll always be here. But, if you don’t want me anymore...I understand, at least let me see the birth of my child.” Randy looked like a defeated solider who had just lost the biggest battle of his life. All he wanted was for John to be happy, and if the tears in his lovers eyes were anything to go off of, he couldn’t provide that. He just wanted to se his child, the one they had been fighting for together all these months, and one stupid, completely accidental mistake was going to keep him from that.
“Please John...I just want to be there for the kids birth...just incase I’m not there for the rest of it’s life...”
“Oh no.” John said, turning back to the younger superstar sitting beside his bed. “There is no way in hell you’re getting out of this that easy.” John said cautiously as andy looked up into his soft blue eyes. The older man smiled faintly as he held out his hand, the younger man gripping it instinctually as he stood, leaning over the bed to kiss his lover, his unoccupied hand cupping the older mans face.
They stayed like that until the sun rose, barely remembering that John’s father was waiting in the hallway outside the room. When hey finally broke it off, Randy tossed his coat over the back of the chair and moved it closer to John’s bed, holding his hand tight.
“So I see you two made up.” They turned toward the sound of John Sr.’s voice as he leaned against the door frame, smiling a bit at them. Randy tuned to John and then to their conjoined hands.
“Yea...” Randy smiled faintly, John doing the same as he turned toward his dad. “You gonna stay? Doc says I’m ‘close’, whatever that means.” John heard his father chuckle as he smiled.
“I could, but I think you two need sometime alone.” With that John Sr. headed out of the room before stopping himself, his hand gripping the door frame, “Oh and Randy?”
“Yea?” Randy said.
“You ever hurt or make my son cry again and I’ll sick his crazy mother on you, understand?” John S.r. said with a disturbing smile as he left the room, “You kids have fun now.”
Randy’s eye were wide as he turned to John who was chuckling, causing Randy’s worry to disappear. He held up their hands, placing his other over the two, kisssing it before turning to John.
“There's the Johnny I remember.” Randy said softly before leaning in to kiss his lover again. “I hope our baby gets your dimples, then it could light up the world with a smile just like you.”
“Oh, ow you’re defiantly trying to hard.” John said, causing Randy to chuckle a bit. “And you say I’m the girl.”
“Well, you are the one whose pregnant.” Randy gestured toward the bed, smiling as John pouted, trying his hardest not to smile. John sighed, glancing down to his ever expanding stomach.
“You think it’ll be okay? I mean the baby.” John said, keeping his eyes on his abdomen.
“I think it’ll be fine.” Randy said, placing a hand in John’s stomach. “And you’ll be a great dad.”
John smiled cautiously as he placed his hand over Randy’s, who was slowly rubbing the thin cloth of the hospital gown, letting the warmth sink down to John’s skin. As the rubbing continued, John’s eye lids began to fall, reminding him that he hadn’t gotten any real form of sleep in the past few nights.
Laying his head back against the small pillow behind him, John started to dose off, earning a small smile from Randy as the younger man leaned back in his own chair, the stress of the day finally wearing him down into a contented semi-sleep.

Double the presents

Cody and Ted 2
Title: Double the presents
Author: ZutaraBeliever
Pairing: Cody/Ted possibly Randy/John
Warning: Slash
Words:1,714
Summary: “On the count of three, you can open your eyes.” Randy instructed before nodding to John, who slowly began to open the doors.
“1....2...” Randy came up behind Cody, whispering in his ear as the countdown ended. “3...”
Disclaimer: I own nothing, if I did this would have happened years ago!
Notes:Well, seeing as Today is Cody's brithday...He should get many presents.
All mistakes are mine!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Would you just keep your damn eyes shut?” Bellowed Randy as he pressed his hand against Cody’s eyes, making sure not to hurt the small bruises that still lined his nose. He tried to maneuver the young man toward the elevator, failing to some extent when John had distracted him.
Nearly running the ravenette into a large metal pole, Randy sighed, obviously stressed as John graciously took over, placing his hand over Randy’s before the tanned man could pull away.
“Dude, I got this. Just point me in the right direction.” John said, smiling as a flush came to Randy’s cheeks. Hesitantly, Randy pressed the up button on the nearby elevator as Cody’s shoulders dropped.
“Guys, I know its my birthday, but you know I hate surpr-” Cody said before being cut off by a quick shove forward.
“Codes, can you just enjoy all the work we put into this?” Randy said.
“Oh, yea. So far the whole set up is amazing. I bet it took a lot of work to place a hand over my face.” Cody said sarcastically as he heard the dinging of the numbers rose above the elevator.
Today was his birthday, and as usual, John and his former mentor lured him into some fool-hearted surprise party. Last year he could understand, it was his 25th, which was a big milestone...at least thats how John had convinced him to come last time. But now was just his 26th, and yes, he would go out and party, get a few drinks with the guys like any normal man did on his birthday, but instead here he was, a giant hand over his already lightly bruised eyes as they waited for the doors of the elevator to open.
He sighed. If only Ted were here... Cody thought as he crossed his arms over his chest. Ted hadn't come for his last fiasco, seeing as he was back on RAW, which Cody had to admit was not a great excuse when both John and Randy had made it, as well as some of the other superstars from the red roster. But this year, Ted was on Smackdown and was actually working with him again. It was great...until he got the call yesterday morning, saying his returned tag-team partner was going to be out of town after their taping on Tuesday.
He was a little heartbroken if he were telling the truth. He and ted had always been...close, closer than most guys, which Cody didn’t see a problem with,a nd obviously neither did Ted, if DiBiase’s last ‘birthday’ present was any consultation.
But, now he was alone with two of the most spontaneously annoying men on the roster, though he could never say it a loud, seeing as both men could take him down. Cody smirked to himself. Ted was right...they are perfect for each other.
The bell sounded and Cody felt a hand on his back, pushing him out of the elevator before turning down a hallway. He slowly walked with John as the large man moved his past several corners before halting.
“Ok, Codes.” John said, “Keep your eyes closed.” John removed his hand from Cody’s face, the younger man sighing, keeping his eyes shut as he felt John’s body leave his personal space.
“Now listen, we know you didn’t want a big party this year-” Randy said before being cut off.
“Which I don’t understand.” John interjected.
“Anyway, John and I still wanted to do something special.” Cody swallowed hard, unsure as to what he should be expecting as he heard two hands grip what sounded like a large metal door handles. He knew hey were in a hotel, and decided that it must be on of the smaller conference rooms, which still confused him.
“On the count of three, you can open your eyes.” Randy instructed before nodding to John, who slowly began to open the doors.
“1....2...” Randy came up behind Cody, whispering in his ear as the countdown ended. “3...”
Cody quickly opened his eyes as John stepped out of the way, a hand going to his mouth as it opened with surprise.
“Hey Cody.” The southern drawl was as familiar as a sunrise to Cody, his eyes widening as Ted stood, his arms wide open as he smiled.
Cody ran toward his arms, jumping into them as he locked is arms around the older man’s neck, his legs latching to Ted’s midsection as the tawny haired man hugged him back, smiling as they gripped each other tight. Cody closed his eyes, smelling Ted’s cologne, a scent he had somehow become addicted to as Ted breathed a heavy sigh.
“I thought you were out of town.” Cody said in disbelief.
“I was...for a bit, but only to get everything set up for tonight.” Ted said as Cody moved from the crook of his neck to face him fully, his legs still wrapped around his partner. He glanced down, finally noticing that Ted was indeed dressed up in a suit and dress shirt, which made him quickly spring off and plant his feet on the floor.
“Oh...sorry.” Cody said, brushing off Ted’s waist and chest before Ted placed his hands over Cody’s.
“It’s alright.” Ted chuckled. “I’m fine, and you look great.” Cody could feel his face heat up as he turned from Ted’s soft eyes, smiling as he lead closer into his chest. “We’re going to have a nice, romantic dinner and...” Cody watched Ted’s eyebrows move suggestively as he continued, throwing his arms around Cody’s waist as the ravenette moved closer. “...when we get back to the suite I reserved for us...you may just get your second birthday present.”
Cody looked to Ted with confusion before the older man backed away.
“Second...present? What’s..my first?” Cody asked confusedly as Ted’s hands snuck into his pockets, moving his blazer up a bit before he turned to Cody with a small smile.
“Well...I know we’ve been ‘together’ for a couple of years now and....I mean...I” he turned to Cody, who had a combination of laughter and confusion on his face as Ted rubbing the back of his neck. “What I’m saying is....” Ted stepped a bit closer to Cody before falling on one knee as he pulled a small box, jet black and with a velvet look to it. “I know my last...one..of these...didn’t end so well...but I....” Ted sighed closing his eyes as he hand began to physically shake. He chuckled a bit as he lifted the box, “Cody...Will you marry me?”
Cody’s eyes widened as he stared at the man kneeled before him, looking absolutely nervous as he waited for a reply. Blinking rapidly, Cody struggled to breath, holding back small tears of joy as he tried to speak.
John smiled softly as he threw an arm around Randy’s shoulder, the tanned man propped up against the door as he waited to flick on the light switch. Randy glanced at him smiling before looking down to see john holding a long, slender black box that almost matched the one Ted’s engagement ring was in. His heart began to pound as John watched the couple, still waiting for Cody’s answer.
“Yes!” Cody finally said, jumping up and down and wrapping bis arms around Ted’s neck as soon as the older man stood. They were both laughing with joy as cody pulled Ted in for a kiss, making it last as long as he could before Ted pulled away, placing the ring on Cody’s finger before shoving the box back in his blazer pocket.
“And...wait, there’s more to the present.” Ted said as he groped his suit to find the second box he had prepared to give to his new fiance. His nerves were obviously frazzled as he tried to remember where he had placed the second box.
“I got your tickets right here, genius!” John yelled, holding up the slender box, reveling the tickets. “Thought it’d be easy to see in your pocket remember?”
Ted chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck again before returning his arms to Cody’s waist, pulling the young man in for another kiss as John moved away from Randy to hit his own light switch.
Cody hadn’t even noticed the dim lights surrounding them until the fluorescent lights began to flicker, making him turn his head when he heard a loud congratulations form many familiar voices.
His eyes shot open as he pulled away from Ted’s lips, glancing from one side to the other, seeing various members of his family, as well as Ted’s.
Ted could see Cody’s eyes widen as he turned back to him. Cody had always thought Ted’s father didn’t exactly agree with what he and Ted were doing behind the scenes, not that he even knew, but, here he was clapping and smiling along with Cody’s own father and mother as well as Ted’s brother and Dustin, who was giving his little brother a thumbs up, which made Cody chuckle.
“What..what is all this?” Cody asked as he pressed his forehead to Ted’s.
“I called up our parents and told them what I was planning to do...Dad was a bit stand offish, but...” Ted said, glancing over to his father.
“Obviously he knew no one else would take you.” Cody interjected jokingly as Ted pulled him in for another kiss.
“And in a few days....we’ll be on a plane...heading for New York.” Ted said as they separated their lips.
“Way to go Cody!” Cody turned to see his father with one arm wrapped around his mother, the other shaking a thumbs up in the air. The two men chuckled, smiling at one another before going in for another kiss, earning a cheer form family members as well as clap from Randy and John, who had stepped into the room.
Randy glanced form the couple to John, who had closed the box that held the plane tickets. He stared at it, chuckling at himself for getting all worked up over something that could never happen. Not...not that he wanted it to happen.
ATTENTION SUPERNATURAL FANS
Evan
I’m think, since I have money from work saved up to spend anyway I like, as well as this being my last/one of my last summers near Canada (Ohio) before IU trek on over to California where I won't have a chance in hell of going to a Convention, I was think/ debating between going to the one in October (My Birth Month) in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
I was looking at the prices and I would not mind getting a Gold Pass, which is fine money wise the only problem is that I have no way to get there.
Then I was think several things, I am 17, gonna be 18 and could most likely use the summer to get my license, which I hear is easier said than done. Or, I was wondering of anyone, or a group, wanted to get an organized group of SPN Fans who all want to go to the con.
We could all chip in for gas and food and other expenses, and get to learn more about each other on the way to the Con.
I was thinking I would get something set up. So, I have a FaceBook event set up of anyone would like to go, all we need is a vehicle to get there, and I guess if none of us drive, we could look up possibly a bus or, if we just all wanted to meet at the convention, we could see how much plane tickets are.
Or possibly train or other form of transportation could be great :)
I wanted to plan this and get the ball rolling because I would really enjoy going to a convention and thought it would be nice to have a group to meet up/ go with.
This basically post to see who all is planning, or thinking of going tot he Con and wants to either share transport or room or whatever.
You guys are all a second family to me, and I would e proud to share anything with you guys as long as we have fun, which I don't doubt.
Here is the information so far on the Convention in October:http://www.creationent.com/cal/supernatural_toronto.htm
Here is the link to the Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=150224108384017
If you have any other Questions, Contact me either through Facebook or E-mail: Dukanuka1022@aol.com
I hope to see many of you there and if you do not wish to stay for all three days, depending on how we get there, you may choose to leave at anytime. Same goes for passes. If you aren’t into Supernatural, but still want to see the convention or other parts of Canada, buy one of the lower priced tickets, single day or smaller packages.
Beware though, if you do want one of the bigger packages, you should alert me soon that you are traveling with us/or meeting us there so that you may purchase your packages early.
And if I cannot find anyone to go, I may go on my own, but it depends on how many people respond.
Also! If you know anyone who I am not friends with or that I do not follow and they would be interested in going, give them the information and my contact.
No judging and if you would really enjoy going, I would love to hear form you :) (And cosplay is not required but I am cosplaying as Castiel.)
Hello guys! Podfics Poll
Evan
Hello guys, I know I haven't updated in awhile, but I had this idea.
Why not make a few of my fics, podfics! I've been listening to a few from other fandoms and I realized there were none for WWE. So, I want you guys to choose one of my fics for me to read first. It will be me reading it, and nothing is off limits!
I'm excited for this and, even if a story isn't finished yet, (Like Extra Parts) I can still read what I have and split the mp3's into chapters!
Just send me a note, or comment on the fic of mine you want me to read first :)
Thanks!
“So tell me again why they can’t see you?” Sam whispered from across the room, leaning slightly to his left to make sure the ‘supposed’ fallen-angel heard him.
“Remember that little spell Deano there read aloud? The one that turns your whole life-”
“Into some crappy-ass musical.” Sam said, still pissed that the former trickster had place one last joke on them.
“Exactly.” Gabriel smiled, returning his eyes to the pair sitting at the small table in the motel room, Dean staring at a screen while Cas buried his nose in one of Bobby’s books. “Got that from a witch friend of mine, works like a charm, eh?”
“Unfortunately. But at least it did improve Deans voice.” The tall brunette chuckled, turning when Gabriel joined in, his smile widening.
“Anyway, I don’t want them to see me for a number of reasons, but the main one is so I can show you what the spell can do with little extra…shove.” Gabriel said, taping Sam on the shoulder as the brunette returned his eyes to Dean and Cas, who hadn’t made eye contact with each other for the last three minutes, which, though it sounded a bit weird, was rather shocking.
“An extra shove?” Sam whispered again, not wanting to attract any attention toward himself on his invisible friend.
“Yea!” Sam watched Gabriel’s eye light up as he uncrossed his arms, swiveling his entire body toward Sam before retuning his eyes to the two conducting research. “If I put a little spin on things, I can make them sing for us, but not remember a thing.”
“How can you do that?” Sam asked, slightly confused.
“Just watch, its like a movie.” Gabriel said, waving his arm in front of his face as Sam heard a piano, as well as a few other, softer instruments, fill the room. Doing as instructed, he tuned back to his brother and Cas, sitting almost perfectly still. As a guitar joined the song, he saw his brother and the angel make eye contact, the guitar intensifying the longer they stayed locked in another’s gaze.
“It all starts with that first…undeniable…look.” Gabriel whispered, even though the two couldn’t hear him either, his voice matching that of a movie trailer announcer. “ Then begins that forbidden love. That single glance crating a thousand different emotions bottled up in side thick headed humans, first shining through at the slightest connection.”
As if one cue, Dean began to sing, turning Sam’s head as his eyes widened.
“Nothing is so good it lasts eternally.” Dean sang softly, glancing form Cas back to the laptop, almost completely unmoved as the angel glance back.
His brothers voice really had improved, thought Sam as he continued to watch them, taking a quick look at the shorter man beside him, looking like a child watching his favorite t.v. show.
“Perfect situations must go wrong.” Dean sang, turning toward Cas, who kept his face pointed toward the book. “But this has never yet prevented me, wanting far to much, for far to long.” Dean sighed, returning to the computer screen. “Looking back I could have played it differently…” Dean trailed off, still keeping with the pace of the music as he ran a hand down his face, “Won a few more moments, who can tell. But it took time to understand the man…Now at least I know I know him well.” Dean said, smiling slightly as he turned to Cas.
“Wasn’t it good?” Dean continued.
“Oh so good.” Sam smiled slightly as Cas joined in, his eyes meeting Dean’s across the table.
“Wasn’t he fine?” Dean continued, uninterrupted by his singing partner, who kept constant eye contact.
“Oh so fine.” Cas sang without missing a beat.
“Isn’t it madness… he can’t be mine?” Sam smile widened as he watched the two harmonize together.
“But in the end, he needs a little bit more than me…More security.”
“He needs his fantasy and freedom…” Cas interjected as Dean continued to hold the note.
“I know him so well.” They harmonized again, making Sam turn toward the fallen angel beside him, who was completely transfixed on the two.
“Here’s where the real fun begins!” Gabriel whispered, keeping his eyes on the singing partners, still seated at the table.
“No one in your life is with you constantly.” Cas sang, glancing toward Sam, making the man a bit nervous before the sapphire eyes of the angel returned to his brother. “No one is completely on your side. And though I moved my world to be with him…” Cas sang, looking up to heaven before returning to Dean, who had continued eye contact with him, slowly closing the laptop as Cas shut the book, placing on the table. “Still the gap between us is too wide.” Cas stood, Dean joining in as both faces look uncertain.
“Looking back I could have played things differently.”
“Looking back I could have played things another way.”Dean sang as they made their way around the table, almost joining in the middle. Sam watched as the two seemed to switch roles, Dean singing in the background as Cas continued.
“Learned about the man before i fell.”
“I was just a little careless!” Dean almost belted as Cas took another glance toward heaven.
“But I was ever so much younger then.” Cas said, smirking a bit as he shook his head, Dean’s hazel eyes still following his movements.
“Maybe…now at least I know him well.” Dean seemed to rebut as Cas returned his eyes to Deans face, their bodies inching closer as he turned toward Gabriel, meeting his chocolate eyes as the two sang without them.
“Now at least…I know I know him well!” They sang in unison, their bodies almost flush against one another.
“Wasn’t it good?” Dean sang, taking charge once again as Sam hastily returned his attention to the other angel in the room.
“Oh so good.”
“Wasn’t it fine?”
“Oh so fine.”
“Isn’t it madness…he can’t be mine.” The two returned to each other so naturally, Sam, if he didn’t know the archangel had made them sing, thought they would have rehearsed it.
“Didn’t I know?”
“Didn’t I know!”
“How It would go…”
“If I knew from the start…Why? Why am I falling apart?” As their conjoined voices rose, Sam turned back to Gabriel who returned the look, smiling brightly as the brunettes eyelids fell a bit, obviously melting into the hunter/angel serenade.
“He can’t be mine.” As they continued to sing, Sam couldn’t take his eyes off Gabriel, who seemed to be ignoring the two singers now, fully delved into his current stare down with the younger Winchester.
“But in the end he needs a little bit more than me…More security!” Dean sang, seemingly trying to convince himself that nothing could ever happen between him and his savior.
“He needs his fantasy and freedom.” Cas contradicted himself, apparently realizing the feelings he had been having recently were indeed love, but one that could never be.
“I know him so well….” They trailed off, being almost ignored by the others before Sam quickly turned away from Gabriel, watching the two other men’s mouths move like attracting magnets toward one another.
“It took time to understand him.” Sam chuckled nervously, seeing the truth in the bewitched angels sentence.
“I know him…so……..well….” They sang together gain, glancing form their increasingly moving mouths to one another’s eyes, desperately asking the other if it would be okay to throw caution to the wind and let out their bottled energy, little did they know the same was going on between Sam and his own fallen angel, who stayed hidden as the music ended and the two broke apart, watching one another before looking as if they had just come out of a drunken haze. Silently, they simply stared at one another as Sam and Gabriel did the same, neither one making a move as they both lazily smiled, wondering which couple would make a scene first.
“Is Sam still having hallucinations about my brother?” Cas asked, watching the younger Winchester stare at what seemed like simple air, his eyes moving up from the book he had been reading/criticizing.
“Yea…” Dean replied before sighing and looking up from the laptop, “It’s weird though…he remembers some moments without the delusions, and then its just a missing chunk, then more memories…” Dean said, watching his brother mumble something to the air, “I don’t know…he seemed to be hit pretty hard when Gabriel died.”
“I thought he hated my brother.” Cas said, turning to Sam.
“I did too. But obviously something stuck to him.” Dean chuckled a bit as he returned to his research, “Who knows…maybe Gabriel’s just invisible.”
“That’s impossible.”
“He has faked his death in the past…”
“No Dean, Gabriel is dead.” Cas said defiantly, still staring at Sam as he leaned to his right, an awkward smile on his face as his hand reached up to nothingness.
“And how are you so sure?” Dean said, a bit angrily.
“I heard it when I was resurrected…”
“…So like, from…”
“Father? God? Yes. Gabriel is dead.” Cas said, his sapphire eyes focusing on Dean before returning to Sam, who continued to lean closer to the empty space beside him. Dean watched his younger brother act as if he were standing beside someone, but nothing was there. Dean sighed again, closing the laptop as he closed his eyes.
“Should we try to help him?” Cas said, breaking Deans concentration.
“No. He needs his fantasy and freedom.” Dean chuckled, “it seems to be the only thing thats ever kept him sane.” Dean sighed, “I-”
“You-”
“- know him so well.” They said in unison turning to one another with slight astonishment before shaking off the strange occurrence and returning to their work.
A/N:You decide: Is Sam going crazy, or are Dean and Cas just forgetful?
